Some influential illustrators
As a child I remember reading all of Shel Silverstein's books and loving his illustrations. This is the one that I remember the most. This illustration has so much movement and energy.
Another influential illustrator for me when I was younger is Tim Burton. James and the Giant Peach, and the Nightmare Before Christmas were awesome movies.
Some illustrators I love today are James Shepherd. This is one of my favorite
pieces of his. His illustrations are a little obscure and dramatic and I love that.
I also love Irina Vinnik's work. I love confusing pen or marker work like this. I think it is very pleasing to the eye.
